I put an angel on top of my tree to compliment the angels and dolls on the rest of it.

Attachment 2327 She too is hanging by a thread LITERALLY. My tree top is pretty wimpy and doesn't want to supposrt her so we had to put a thread on her and connect her to the wall in order to keep her on there. LOL If you look on the wall behind the tree you can see where it's attached.

Our Santa is having the same issue Tink. The top of our tree is wimpy also so we have a coat hanger up Santa's butt and wrapped around underneith. Because he's heavier then the tree top it makes our tree lean. It's ridiculous! LOL

Awww the joys of decorating!! :D

I have an angel on top of my tree, but I'm too lazy right now to take a picture of it.

We've had fog and rain all day and it's been so dreary it makes me sleepy. I just bend that top pointing branch in half and my little angel sit pretty good...so far.

AngieDoogles 12-13-2007 11:58 AM

We have a bow on ours because it's just one of the small 1.5-2 ft trees. (Like Judy's!) :)

Because it's just the two of us, we decided not to do a big tree. Maybe next year. I'm hoping to get one off of Freecycle after the holidays.

Tink 12-13-2007 01:31 PM

Angie, Katie and Josh (her boyfriend) are moving into an apartment and I have a 3' tall fibre optic tree they plan to use. So you're not alone in not doing the big production. It's a lot of work!

We got to help Mom and the kids put up their tree. That was enough for us this year. :) Did Katie and Josh get to help you decorate yours?

Tink 12-13-2007 04:02 PM

I'd have loved some help, but no one was willing, so I did it alone.

:( Awwww. Well, if we were all there Tink, we would have helped!

Janet 12-14-2007 07:03 AM

I would have helped too Tink. I decorated mine by myself this year. I didn't mind though for some reason. My son did help a little bit, but not much. I think we just have to be in the right set of mind.

I really love your tree toppers! They're pretty. Crooked Santas with hangers up their butts are probably in more homes than you think!

I do love my little tree. The lights are so pretty, and talk about low maintenance! it gets plugged in and - done.;)

I finally got a picture of my tree topper. I have an angel named Rachel. Yes, ours has a name! I bought a kit (named Rachel) years ago that had the pattern for her body and dress and came with the head, hands and feet. I had made her up into a little country doll with a blue dress. That Christmas I kept looking and looking for an angel to go on top of my tree and I just couldn't find what I was looking for so I ended up making her a new dress and fashioned her wings out of wide lace and wire. My husband made a little stand for her to sit on and it also comes up to make her halo. We've had her on the tree for years and she sits on a shelf when it's not Christmas. Rachel's a very special part of our Christmas.

rivermom 12-20-2007 11:33 AM

Rachel is lovely. My she looks so delicate to even breath next to. I get such a peaceful feeling when I look at her. So so lovely!

I think it's great how she is left out to enjoy all year long. Very special indeed.

Rachel is beautiful Diana. I love the story of how she came to be.:)

DianaB 12-20-2007 02:46 PM

Thanks, we think that she's very special too. I'm sure that the kids are going to have a big fight over her one of these days.

judy 12-20-2007 04:54 PM

Rachel is lovely Diana. Don't you love heirlooms like that? I leave my Christmas angels out all year too. You can't have too many angels!

Welcome to 4WT Rachel.

Gina 12-20-2007 05:19 PM

Mandy 12-21-2007 05:22 AM
