Well, what about the Secret Concealer that you put under your eyes and the Eye Basics that you use as a foundation on your eyelids before you apply eye shadow? Or try the Foundation Primer and Foundation.

I just got back from the mall and bought the foundation primer. I had a sample the woman gave me but I ran out and I love it alot! Villette you use the Bare Minerals foundation right? I'm not sure how the primer works with that kind of foundation though.
I was going to buy the foundation also but Christmas Day in my stocking was the Estee Lauder foundation from my husband. I love it and he's so sweet! But I did want to try Laura Mercier foundation. Oh well another time. I also really love the secret camoflauge concealer. My face has been looking pretty flawless since I've been using it. |

I finally got to Austin today and visited Nordstrom's at Barton Creek. I bought the Laura Mercier One Step Cleanser, Mega-Moisturizer, Eyedration, Foundation Primer, Silk Creme Floundation & Secret Concealer. They gave me some samples of Face Polish. I meant to buy the Citrus Serum & some blush, but realized after I left that I had forgotten to get them. I can always buy them online, or call Nordstrom's and have them shipped to me. I'm really anxious to try them all out myself. They applied them at the store and a friend of mine and Melissa both said that the Laura Mercier looked better than my regular makeup. I'm sure when I apply it myself it will look even better. Just wanted to share!!

I finally placed an order this morning for bunches of face makeup. I had to order it online as the stores around my town don't carry it, ugh. Wasn't bad though since Laura Mercier's website is offering "free shipping" right now.
I ordered primer, two different concelers (eye and face), foundation, setting powder, and two lip items. ( I am really hoping this makeup is magic and will make me beautiful ) I have this really weird two prong pitch fork looking vein thingy right under the corner of my right eye. I've had it for years. (even when I was young). People, even strangers will tell me "your eye make up is running.". When infact I have to tell them "no, it's not my makeup it's a vein". I really get embarassed!! So, I am hoping the eye concealer will help. I've tried so many over the years and have found nothing yet that truly works. At times, it's almost anything I use actually adds more attention to the veins. I look forward to the makeup arriving so I can try it.

OOOOhhhh, Sheryl, what fun!! I really like trying out new makeup like this. I didn't get the setting powder. The clerk at the store talked me out of it. She said using the primer and foundation gives a bit of a powdery effect and you don't want to take away all of your glow and leave your face with a matte finish. A little glow looks more natural, healthy and youthful. She said if I wanted to use the setting powder, to do so very sparingly. All of the Laura Mercier, I'm finding, goes a long way. You use like half a small pea of foundation for your entire face.
I really love the concealer. I didn't really think that I needed it, but using it in the area under the eye near the nose where black shadows can appear really brightens your face and eyes. She did one side and let me look so I could see the effect. I wore my new makeup to church this morning, and a couple of people commented that I really looked nice today. I didn't buy any new eye color, lip color or blush, just used my old stuff there, and I always use moisturizer, foundation and powder, so there was not a huge difference in what I had applied other than it was Laura Mercier instead of Oil of Olay moisturizer, MaxFactor foundation & CoverGirl powder, but I can tell a big difference in how I look, and a couple of people seemed to notice, too.

Marilyn, I am so glad you are enjoying your makeup! I love it! Now that I know the website is offering free shipping, I might have to splurge and get me some new things! Yippee!!!!!!!!!!

BTW, Villette, I'd never have been able to order the right colors online. The lady in the store was very helpful in finding the correct shades. I like Laura Mercier MUCH better than the Bare Minerals. Totally different products.
