Well....bummer......I got a letter from the bank saying that the job had been filled. There's a job at the library so I have my resume all ready and I'm going to take it in. Amy worked there for awhile and she really liked it. It doesn't pay well but it will be experience for if another job comes open. It's just a very small library and I already know several of the women who work there so it wouldn't be too hard to start so......we'll see what happens!!!!

Sorry the bank job didn't work out Diana. Hopefully you'll get the one at the library. Crossing my fingers that you'll get it. |

I hope you get the position Diana. I've put applications in all over and so far nothing. I can only work part-time because the health insurance I have through the school is so good. I do hope I can find something...the extra money would really be a blessing. Diana....how is your flea market booth doing?

Diana and Janet, I hope you both find the perfect job for you soon! I would love to work in a library, but I'd probably get fired for reading and not working

Well......one month I made $1.50 and that was only because he didn't charge me for the booth rental!! I made a little more than that then next month but I don't remember what it was. In July I made $16 or $17......and my last check was for $30 something so it's improving. Between taxes and the economy it hasn't done very well. I'm going to start selling on e-bay soon because I have several things that I think will do better there. When Glen and I were in Joplin the other day at a large flea market there we asked about booth rental. We talked to a woman who advised us to bring stuff in in October through December. She thought that they might sell well then. I've got to show some profit or I won't be able to take what I've bought off for a business expense so I've got to get busy!!! |

I have some dog clothes and video games that I would like to sell, but don't know without running to the Post Office about the shipping costs. We even bought some books to learn how to sell on ebay, but so far, I haven't read them...lol. I need to get busy too!

You can figure out shipping costs if you have an accurate scale. You just weigh your item in the box....or in your case I would suggest shipping in brown envelopes because it would be cheaper.....then you can figure it out on USPS.com website and print out your postage as well. It's really very easy!! Then you don't have to run to the post office all the time to check on how much it would cost and you can mail right from your own mailbox......no trips to town!!!!
