Keep a record for him/her and take it with you on your next visit.
I'm seeing the PCP tonight at 6:30, I don't know if the med is going to be changed or the dose changed. I'm hoping that they'll be able to adjust the meds to a level where my blood pressure is at an ok level. I'll keep you updated.

About an hour after my last post, my blood pressure went really high again and I got really dizzy. I called my PCP to see if I could come in early, she wanted me to go to the ER by ambulance. One of the woman that I've gotten to be friends with at work traveled with me until Jim could get there.

I was there for about 4 hours, they gave me something by IV, increased my Lisinopril, and I'm on a heart monitor for the next 24 hours - I go back tomorrow to have it taken off.

I'm really scared guys, I feel like I'm doing everything I'm supposed to be doing, but the blood pressure keeps creeping up.
At least work is being very good about it. I had only been back for a day when this happened and when I told my boss that I'd be out for a couple of more, she said that they wanted me well and not to push it - I had been afraid that since I have only been there a couple of months that my job might be in jeopardy. At least I don't have to worry about that.

I really believe in the power of prayer, and I'd appreciate you keeping me in yours while the doctors try to get me healthy again.

Sometimes it takes a while to get the right blood pressure medication and the right dosage. Sometimes it takes two or even three different medications (at the same time) to get a really hard to control blood pressure down. Don't fret about it - that makes it worse. Just keep a close eye on the pressure, do exactly what you did - call if it gets high, and work with your PCP. She'll get it under control, don't worry. Blood pressure is one of the easier things to get regulated.

You're doing all the right things!

I'm so sorry you were in the hospital and are having these problems. I know it has to be a scary time for you. I hope you are feeling better soon!
