Question about frozen chicken
Hey guys, my mom is at work so I can't get ahold of her. You're all the next best thing
So all my makeshift moms... I decided for supper tonight I was going to take something from our freezer because it's OVERFLOWING. I have a package of two small whole chickens, and I was going to make one for supper and just wrap up the other and put it back. The problem is they are frozen together and I can't get them apart! I put a butter knife under steaming hot water and tried to pry them apart that way and they still won't unstick. Sooo if I leave them both out until they thaw enough to pull apart (not totally thawed) can I still put one back in the freezer? Or will I have to make them both? I know I shouldn't freeze and thaw and freeze meat again, but would it matter if it's not TOTALLY thawed? And they were fresh when I bought them, and then I froze them, if that makes a difference.
