It's always good to get home, but getting away for a while kind of gets the mind and body going again.

I had a great time!! But I am really glad to be home. I don't really like to travel during the semester - I get so far behind when I am gone. That's one reason I don't want to go on this cruise week after next - but alas, it will be fine, I'm sure.
I love New Mexico soooo much. I could sooooo live out there! But this is home and I love Austin too very very much! It's good to be home! ![]()

Gary's been having lots of trouble with fluid retention, but i think we have the meds adjusted correctly now! We have a doc appt in the morning - but he is feeling good!

Mike has been having lots of trouble with fluid retention, too. He takes a demodex almost every day. They are very strong, but it takes that to pull the fluid off. He's getting so he can't sit for any length of time without his feet and legs swelling. I wonder what's going on with our guys? He just had a check up and everything was ok.

One night last week I found him sitting up in the chair in the middle of the night, could barely breathe. I gave him a breathing treatment, didn't help much. In the morning, I listened to his lungs with the stethscope, and bam! I could hear fluid in his lungs. So I called the doctor's office and we changed him to Lasix which is like demadex, but it works quicker. It took 160 mg ![]() I don't know what it is - Gary had an echocardiogram just 3 weeks ago, and his heart seems stable, but something is up with this darned fluid. We try to watch his salt intake, and he could do better, but he doesn't eat a lot either. It's very strange that they both are having trouble with it.
