Bread Pudding

Hey Gayle! I've been looking at the recipes here and found this one. I'm going to make it for Mike (not that he needs it) because he LOVES bread pudding!! I'll let you know how it turns out

The best part of this recipe is the whiskey sauce. And I don't generally like liquor in my food - just don't care for the taste - not that I'm opposed to liquor in food. But this really works with the whiskey taste - it is IMHO, fabulous! I had never made bread pudding before trying this recipe, and it turned out very good.

Good luck, hope Mike likes it! Gary loves bread pudding too! They have to splurge a bit during the holidays, don't cha think!

I will definitely make the whiskey sauce. We just happen to have some in the cabinet

OK Gayle, I made the bread pudding. I myself am not a fan of bread pudding..I thought, lol... but OH MY GOSH this is SO SO good!! I'm going to make myself sick

I thought 2 T of vanilla was alot, but I used it. It MAKES it!!! I hope I cooked the sauce long enough...it's still too hot to tell.

Mike is thrilled!! Thank you so much Gayle

Now if I can just find room in the refrigerator

Oh Betsi! I'm so glad you liked it - you never know if someone else will have your same "taste" for something.

If you think the pudding is good, just wait till you spoon the sauce over it - the pudding + sauce just sends me over the moon!

Now, I'm going to have to make some - you've made me hungry for it!!!

I forgot about this recipe thanks Betsi... I just printed it and will make this week for NYE.. Gayle it sounds awesome... I have been eating cookies non stop

I baked for Christmas and now will bake for NYE and thats it..
