Lindsay! That sounds like so much fun! We don't have ice fishing, but Gary's family has a cabin at the lake for years and we get together to fish, swim, and ride the seadoos in the water (instead of skidoos on the ice! LOL!). It is so much fun to have everyone together.
I know you miss that experience! I do too! I'm so glad you had so much fun with your family. Did you catch any more fish?

I have to say I do prefer summer days at the cabin to winter days at the cabin lol! I really want a seadoo but we have never gotten one! We do have three boats and fish quite often in the summer too.
On Sunday they caught just one more fish, so Shaun took them both home since I'm not much of a fish eater. I think I ate way too much when I grew up in northern Saskatchewan  I'm not sure if I've posted this picture here before, but I can steal it from my facebook Here's me ice fishing when I was about 3 or 4 years old!

It sounds like you had a great family weekend, and how wonderful that your Mom has stopped smoking. You really enjoy your family, and that is such a blessing.

You had one heck of a fun weekend Lindsey!!!! I'm so happy for you and thrilled that your Mom is no longer smoking. It's been two years for me and there are times I still crave one, but will NEVER follow through on that craving.
I haven't been ice fishing in quite some time, but I love it. I also love the picture of you when you were younger....what a precious little girl.

Janet, I'm so glad you can be so strong about not smoking. I hope my mom continues to be strong too! It's been a couple of months now without even a patch, so that's really good for her! Here are some pictures I took of the cabin on the weekend. My mom is talking on the phone in the kitchen in the last one lol

The cabin looks great, and you were such a precious little girl!!! It sounds like you had a perfect weekend. Isn't it nice to be able to enjoy your family? The concept of ice fishing is a little foreign in Texas, lol!!
