In a good place!

I feel like I'm in such a great spot in my life right now. Everything has just fallen into place!

Renovations are done on the condo, and it was such a big job to do and I am so satisfied with the results! Layla has finally stopped using the floor as her washroom, and barks at us to let her outside, or uses her pads inside when we're not home or asleep. That only took 4 years!

I am in love with the greatest guy who treats me better than I ever expected. Talking about our future together makes me so excited! We are planning a trip to Europe hopefully next year, and he has been getting in touch with his friends over there (he worked in Ireland for awhile) so we can visit and get shown around different areas! Our parents also met each other last weekend and it went really really well, which I wasn't expecting. They all really got along great! Scott has also made it a priority that we go to my grandma's house every Thursday to play canasta with her and my uncle. It's so nice that he wants to spend so much time with my family!

My best friend who got married last June (I was her maid of honor) called me a couple weeks ago to tell me she's pregnant! I am so so sooooo excited for her! Of course, now all of our girl trips will be put off, but this is such a great time in her life. She tells me how jealous she is that I get to still be free and travel but I told her I'm jealous she's got a great husband and a baby on the way! We are going to go visit them in a few months and I can't wait to see if she'll have a little baby bump! They will make fantastic parents, and she promised me we can be Auntie Lindsey and Uncle Scott

Work has been going well too... I'm staying on top of all my projects, and I also recommended a friend for another hire here, so we'll see if she gets the job! It would be great to have someone around to talk to! I got another raise, which raises my salary above what I got offered at that other job before Christmas... I made a good choice to stay here.

Everything just seems to be going my way right now, and I know it won't continue this way forever but I hope it stays as long as possible Yesterday I was going through old emails from about 2 years ago and wow... my life and my feelings have done a complete 180! It's funny how much can change when you get rid of toxic people in your life.

I am so happy for you Lindsey! It is so good to read about how good things are going for you, with Scott, work, the condo, Layla, and so on.

You have worked hard over the past couple of years, and discarded lots of things that weren't making you happy. You are such a wonderful young woman, and it has been inspiring to be on your "road" with you.

Enjoy this time, and give yourself a lot of credit. You are the one who got yourself here!!!

I agree with Judy....you have worked hard to get everything in order!! Have you and Scott talked about getting married? That's one thing that I would love to see for you!!! Scott sounds like a great guy........you need to make it permanent!!! With the economy and everything so bad, it's nice to hear that you're doing so well!!! Congratulations!!!

We have Diana He jokes that he wants to beat his uncle's record (dated for 8 years before getting engaged!) but I told him I'm not going to wait that long We both know it's what we want though. I have been getting such baby fever lately with all of my friends having children, and my brother becoming a dad to two little girls. But I want to be married before I have children, and I want to still do traveling and other fun stuff before that time too! So my hope is maybe in the next 2 or 3 years that can happen for us, but I'm leaving the ball in his court!

I am just so excited and happy for you Lindsey. You've worked hard and made some very hard decisions. You did good sweetheart! I know I've told you before, but enjoy everything now...once married with kids...you won't have the freedoms you have now. Family life can be great if you have all the other things out of the way. I'm proud of you.

Hahaha I'm keeping my fingers crossed! We're planning to backpack through Europe together next year, and I already dropped a hint that it would be soooooo romantic if he proposed somewhere like Paris Lol but he's a man, I don't expect him to remember
