Karlie's not here now......
Dae Lynn has finally taken off of work for her maternity leave and so that means that Karlie won't be coming here 4 days a week for a while. The house seems so lonely without her here. She talks constantly and acts up but somehow she and I had gotten to a place where we just clicked together and I'm sure going to miss having her around. The good news is that she'll be here for a day or two when Dae has the baby!!
There's the possibility that Dae won't be going back to work. We're very concerned about that because she makes the most money in their household but she wants to stay home with the baby. Her boss has been a really big jerk with her. She talked to him about cutting back her work a half day......enough to still qualify for insurance.....which would be one day a week since she already had a half day off....and she was told "no". He wasn't willing to work with her on anything. He's been a big p**p about her getting any time off ever since she's worked there and has always treated her unfairly. I don't know if you remember but Jaci was working there too and finally quit because of the same reasons. Anyway....it's quiet here and, I guess....lonely!!! We have a new flea market in town and I went and signed up for a booth. I used to have one in a nearby town and did pretty good. So this will give me something to do and will be fun. I just wish that the guy would call and tell me that he has one available....I'm so ready!! Dae Lynn's baby is due this Thursday. I guess that she had contractions all day yesterday but nothing happened so it's getting really, really close!!! She hasn't dropped yet and the doctor is talking about a c-section. I really hope that doesn't happen. I'm so excited!!! I can't wait to hold the baby!!!

Oh my goodness Diana! These new grandsons are gonna be here before we know it. Mine is due the 27th. I hope everything goes well for Dae Lynn.
I'm sure you will miss Karlie. But I would be willing to bet that after a few days with the new baby and Karlie, Dae Lynn will be happy for you to have Karlie for a few hours lol. Did you hear anything back yet about your booth at the flea market? What kinds of things do you sell? That does sound like fun. And you would get to meet and talk with so many different people. Is this an inside or outside place? Good luck. I hope they have a booth available for you. |

I bet you do miss Karlie! I'm sure she'll be back though, soon!
I know you are so anxious for the new baby to be here. It is so much fun to have new babies around!!! The flea market sounds like so much fun. Like Paula, I want to know what you sell! I know you go to lots of garage sales, maybe that is what you do, buy at a garage sale and sell at the flea market. Sounds like a lot of fun!

The flea market is just a little store on our town square. I went in and really wasn't too impressed with what they had for sale but I know that once it gets established everything will get better. They have it divided into little stalls.....none of them very big. They were all rented at the time I was in there but one was getting ready to close out.....but he had someone already signed up for it. The owner talked like he'd call soon. I did let him know that I had done this before at a nearby town with my daughter.
I have a lot of things that I can put in it. I've got stuff in the basement that needs to be cleaned out and have actually thought of some things that need cleaned out from....well, just everywhere!! I do like to buy at garage sales and the last time that was where I got everything from. I tried not to spend very much on anything and we made pretty good money. I do know that you don't get top dollar on things......these small town flea markets are where people with big fancy antique mall booths like to shop and then THEY mark them up and get top dollar!!!! I've been looking for some good ideas on how to decorate my booth to draw attention to it!! That's part of the fun!!! What do I sell? I actually like to put antiques in but you don't find too many of those at garage sales. Any kind of knick-knacky stuff. I have a lot of Christian books that I need to get cleaned out. I like to collect old children's toys and sometimes I get really good buys on e-bay so I might add some of those kind of things in there too. In our last flea market we even sold name brand teen clothes. I would pick up nice clean things and they sold really well because these little towns don't have good stores for the kids to shop at. But I don't know if I'll do that again the booths are REALLY small. We'll just have to see!!!

That sounds like fun Diana! You are so right about small towns needing certain types of things, like teen clothes, cool make up, etc. I hope you get a booth!
I can't believer the baby is due Thursday! You are in for a lot of loving!!! Karlie will need you a lot now, so maybe you should take it easy for a couple of days without her! She will look to you for reassurance, no matter how exciting a baby brother is.

I can't believe it's baby time already....how exciting!!! I just know you are excited and ready to welcome this little treasure. I can't wait to hear all about this baby so don't leave out any details.
The flea market gig sounds like so much fun Diana. That's why I like going to garage sales and auctions...I like to chat...lol. I have often thought of getting a small booth at the HotDog Festival and we have a flea market at the park once during the summer. Maybe I'll have to look into it also. Sounds like gobs of fun.
