Locking your car won't necessarily keep a bear out of it - they can break a windshield or window if they want in. Sorry to tell you that but it is true. So, the key is not to leave anything that smells good in your car.

Or anything that smells BAD! Not that you would keep gross stuff in your car, but bears eat garbage, rotting food, anything.

You shouldn't leave anything with a scent out at all, even if it's not food. They'll even be attracted to toothpaste, lotion, candles, etc.

They may have changed the subject of the video to update it Marilyn. My cousin sent me the same video, by the way!

I'm taking the plastic garbage bag out of the car, and decided not to worry about it too much. I would imagine that the bear problem will be addressed at some point by the county or the state. Anyway, the good thing about bears is that they hibernate in the winter~!
