Stitches

One of our daughters cut her chin open when she was about 6 years old. It took a few stitches to close the wound. It healed well but had a little hard knot on the scar. One evening when I was combing her hair after her bath, I noticed what looked like the end of a white string sticking out of her chin. I pulled on it with tweezers and out came a stitch. Her external black ones had been removed weeks before. I about died when I saw this, but the knot was gone, and her chin was fine after the hole closed where the white stitch had been. The stitch wasn't a tiny one either.
