Health Fair....
Our town has a Health Fair every other year and this morning we had it again. It's really cool!! They set up in the high school commons area and gym......then there's booths that have all kinds of things pertaining to health. The eye doctor, physicians, hospital, nursing homes, and anything else pertaining to health have booths. They have little goodies to give away as you go around and look. There is also a free blood test that is done and the results go to your doctor. Glen and I have gone for the last 3 or 4 times and have always enjoyed it. There's all kinds of drawings that go on. It's just such a cool thing to go to!! We'll see if I get called to go into the doctor's office now......probably will.....guess we'll know in a couple of weeks or so!!!!

We have them here in town too. Only thing is...they usually fall when I have to go to my Dr. for my CDL physical.

I love health fairs! My students participate in some each year. Doing the tests and talking with people is really good practice for them.

My blood pressure is pretty good thanks to all the meds that I take for it. It's my blood sugar that has me worried. It's been running high. I don't think that they'll check for that though. I'll wait two or three weeks and if they don't call for me to come in then I'll just get an appointment and go in any way. I need to get an A1C to see how my blood sugar's been averaging. I don't think it will be good.

Diana, don't be afraid to get your A1C tested, you probably just need a little medication adjustment! It does need to be done though, becasue if your blood sugar average is high, then there is damage being done to your micro blood vessels, e.g., the eyes and kidneys, and you DON'T want that to happen. They will likely just make a medication change, but it needs to be done NOW. Don't wait!!!

I know and I'll get it done soon. I just hate going to the doctor.....especially for diabetes problems and I have a doctor that I really like. I've been testing a little more than usual so I've been more aware of my levels.
