That is what I have heard - so the verdict is in - no bunion surgery for me unless it becomes absolutely necessary!

The perfect cure for bunions are flip flops! This is why I wear them whenever the weather permits! I think you said you can't wear them though.
Soft leather, canvas, etc. are good. Look for shoes with a high last, and no seams or straps, etc. that put pressure on the bunion. I also get wide width. As long as there is no pressure on the bunion, I have no pain.

Yep, I'm the one that can't stand anything between my toes, so I wear Crocs Cleo. It has one strap over the toes and one over the instep. VERY comfy. My bunion doesn't hurt though with any of my shoes, it's just that it is there and I thought maybe it should be fixed before it starts hurting, but no, I don't think that's a good idea.

I have had these bunions for years, and they don't start to hurt. The toes are kind of numb, but so what?
Mine are ugly though!
