If you could have a wild animal......

When I was about 14 or so I read a book called "Rascal" by, I believe, Sterling North, about a boy and his pet raccoon. I begged and begged my Dad for one and in the spring he had a friend that had found some baby raccoons. We went and got one and it was the neatest pet!! I loved the way that she would wash her food before eating it and how she would ride on my shoulder when I rode my bicycle. I had a lot of people slow down to take a good look. She got to where she would go into the houses (back when everyone had an old fashioned screen door) of the neighbors and once she scared my brother half to death when she was under my bed!! I have some really funny memories of her. I would love to have another one!!

With all the Animal Planet shows, I would love to have a baby gorilla, chimpanze, orangantan. They are just like little babies and I would love for them to be dependant on me and I could just love the daylights out of them.

I am assuming that "if I could" means that if I actually owned a wild animal, then it would be safe to do so. So, with that in mind, I would own a Tiger. They are gorgeous creatures and I would love to have one.

I'd want to have a pet skunk. Just imagine that wandering the yard when salesmen stop in! They're really cute and would be more fun yet equally effective as a watchdog.

When I was a kid someone stopped at our house that had a pet skunk with them. My Mom was not too happy about it but I remember that it was a lot like a cat.

(btw your raccoon was really that awesome!!! makes me want one!!!!!!!!! I always thought htey were mean, here we have a problem with them killing cats!)

I would firstly want a white tiger, always wanted one, always will. Simple as that, since I waslike 6 it was my dream ha ha ha
(especially since my brother and sister spent their early years living in South Africa {that's where my Dad is from, but he's white} and I'd see pictures of them feeding baby lions!! can you saaaay.... NOT FAIR!! lol)
secondly I would REALLY want a penguin, I'm not sure if anyone here is aware of my strange obsession with penguins, but I really really love them. They are just so amazing and cute and ooh!! I JUST love them! FAVOURITE ANIMAL EVER! (behind the siberian tigers ofcourse ha ha)
and lastly a chimp because... who doesn't want a baby chimp?

There's a zoo at Caney, Kansas, a really small town, that has white tigers. I think that it's closing next spring and moving the animals to a larger zoo. I can't remember which zoo it was moving to.
