That just made me remember something....a few years ago, I wanted and needed a new sweeper. I asked for it for Christmas. Well on Christmas morning, I didn't see any bigger boxes so I thought my hubby probably hid it till later, he was always doing stuff like that.

Well I opened all my gifts and one was diamond earrings and necklace....very pretty. After a few hours, my husband asked if I liked what I got and I thought I said very convincingly "yes." Well he finally got it out of me that I was really wanting a sweeper. He thought something to do work with wasn't a good present so he got me the diamond jewelry instead. He told me I could take them back if I wanted......SO I DID and got me the sweeper.....

I can't believe you traded diamonds for a sweeper either. Diamonds are always on my Christmas list, though I forgot them when starting this thread. I used to want emeralds, but he got me an emerald and diamond ring 19 years ago, and I've realized that while stones of color are beautiful, diamonds go with everything!!!!!!

He did offer to get me a new wedding ring last year though, and I told him the original is just fine. I have 1/2 carat in white gold. It's not the biggest diamond, but it's a nice size, very good quality and I don't know what I would do with it if he got me another. If I take it out of the setting and do something else with it, then I don't have my original ring any more, and would hate to just put it away.

I have a few dimonds and yeah they are pretty...but what i LOVE are my strling silver fairy earings for $12.00!!!! I like weird stuff... dimonds are pretty comon!
