How about changing roommates over the Christmas holiday?? It would be worth it to move if it is possible, and since the girl is seldom around anyway. Just a thought.

I would really be checking into something else to use for a closet that can be locked up, I also like the trunk idea. You can find closets that you put together at Wal Mart, Meijer, Target, just about anywhere. They she could just slip a bicycle padlock through the handles. I can't believe their closets don't have doors. I do think she should at least mention her "suspicions" to the person in charge of the dorm and ask what they think she could do to protect her belongings.

Man, this REALLY sux, Gina! I feel so badly for your daughter! But if her dorm is anything like the dorms at Auburn where I went to college, then it really could have been ANYONE that stole her items. I mean, at Auburn, no one locks their dorms....anyone that lives in that dorm, even a suitmate, can just walk in and take whatever they feel like taking. Unless she has more solid evidence, I would not try to seek revenge on her roommate....maybe she should just sit down and talk to her first. She could tell her roommate that she is concerned bc she has several things, including money, missing from their dorm and see what her rommate's reaction is. From there she can determine if she should seek revenge on her roommate or not.
P.S. -- Is this daughter Gucci's mama?

Hey Gina!!! What's become of the theft situation with your daughter at college? Did she talk with her roommate? Did she get a closet or locker or something she can lock? Let us know what has been happening.
