Well she had her eating disorder under control before she had got preggers and she was a healthy weight before and during the pregnancy. She developed the infection and it continuously gets worse. She has gone to the OB several times for treatment and her ob said nothing was wrong...she had gotten a second and third opinions and they all agree she has the infection and that she needs immediate treatment/surgery to remove the infection. Her ob yelled (and I mean really yelled) at her for getting those second and third opinions and then called the drs who examined her and said my cousin is just trying to get pain meds because she is addicted to them. Not true. She had her pain meds filled a month ago and the FULL BOTTLE is still sitting in her kitchen. She doesn't even have the energy to stand and talk with anyone now because the staph infection has taken over. She is so swollen with the infection that she looks preggers again and her incision keeps bursting open and the infection oozes out. It actually burst AT her ob's office and they STILL told her nothing was wrong with her.

(Sorry for getting off topic all!)

Why is she still having anything to do with this doctor (ob)? I'd slam the door on my way out and never return!!

hmmmm ....I hate that the media causes women to feel like they do ..we are constantly exposed to super thin women and now adding plastic surgery into the mix it's no wonder girls go wild these days.

I spent the most part of my life pretty much the same size ...about 117-123 at 5'5....but went thru a time where I hardly ate anything - when I got to 100 lbs - it became obvious I had a problem ....and I think it's the reason why NOW I had such a hard time trying to lose 15 lbs.

When you ruin your metabolism young - you pay for it when you get older.

That is the truth V. I looked pretty decent when I was younger, but was always yo-yo dieting. Now that I'm older it is REALLY hard. I just don't have the metabolism either. It would help I'm sure if I'd get off the computer more often..LOL

Wow I never even thought about how my metabolism might be ruined for later
I'm scared!
I don't want to all of a sudden gain weight when I turned 30! I heard that for a lot of people it's pretty easy to lose baby weight... gosh I hope it is for me in the future!
