Don't be down, yet. If her son was sick and she was off the day she meant to call you, she may have been catching up, and just did not have time to call, or want to deal with employment issues right then.
We will all have our fingers crossed that you get the call tomorrow.

Brenda, I hope I haven't missed this somewhere else, but did they ever call you back? Did you call them again?

I did call them again on the Friday of the week I went for 2 interviews...I spoke with one of the girls in the office...I asked if I could speak with (girl that interviewed me) she asked who I was when I told her she said that she was on her phone and put me into her voice mail...I left a message with her to please call me back (now keep in mind..I had 2 interviews, 2 different people and was TOLD they would get back to me). She never returned my call. I was so upset...not that is was the greatest job in the world but, it was a job and I need to work. I can not believe employers today!! you would have thought they would have at least had the courtesy to return my call and let me know one way or the other...ESPECIALLY where I had 2 interviews!! If you had asked me if I had the job I would have bet my life on it just by the way the were talking to me...I just don't understand it...I have put this in God's hands....I am beginning to think he might have dropped me. I am still looking but...nothing...there are not alot of jobs around here (in my field ) right now Thanks for asking Janet.

Oh please do not think God has dropped you! I am sure he hasn't! God cares more for us than anything! I know it is hard to hold onto trust and faith during the hard times, but try! Something good will happen! I will add my prayers for you to those that are already praying. Maybe God has something better in mind for you! Remember, the bible tells us that God knows of each sparrow that falls. It also says that he feeds the animals of the wild and they have no food or clothes, nor do they worry about it, but yet he still provides it for them. God knows you and he knows your needs and he is working on something to help you! I am sure of it! |

I agree with Willow.
Last December I quit my job of 6 yrs to take a different one. I worked just 2 days and found that my physical condition would not allow me to do the new job. I had to quit and had no job lined up to go to. My old position was not being filled and I was suddenly unemployed. About a month later, my husband was hurt at work and was off 5 1/2 months. During this time I applied all over and prayed and worried terribly. I couldn't believe the trouble I was having finding a new job! Finally in April I got a job 37miles from home that I really did not like, but I was just glad to get work. I stayed with it until October when I got my current job 3 miles from home and 13% more money. Now hubby is back at work, he got a nice raise, and I am working full time in a better job than I had thought I'd get! God came through for us, but in His own way and time. He will come through for you too. I know it's hard to be patient and have faith, but it will happen. I will keep you in my prayers.

Thank you everyone..I am just so down right now...I am 49 yrs "young"...I don't know if my age has anything to do with me not getting a job....I have exhausted all my resources...I just don't know what to do anymore..With Christmas this weekend it just makes things harder...I have a wonderful husband that really understands what I am going through and hasn't once made a comment about me not having a job...he can see how hard I am trying to get one..
My Mom lights a candle for me and prays that I get a job...I just feel like I have been forgotten by God...I know I haven't but, that is how I am feeling right now. I have slipped into depression..a place I have been before and don't like! I have my furbabies to keep me entertained and try to keep myself busy at home...It's hard though when you really don't want to do anything...But, they say all good things come to those who wait...I just hope I don't have to wait too much longer.. Thank you for all your prayers and kind words...it means alot...especially coming from my "WT friends" that I have never met.. love, Brenda~
