It's 2007!!!

Well, it's 2007 everyone. Did ya all get home safe and sound? Hope you all had a wonderful celebration!! I was in bed by 9:30 PM..not sure when hubby and son went to bed. Now we'll all have to remember to write 2007 instead of 2006. Usually takes a few days..huh?

I managed to stay up to watch the ball drop, then had a restless night after.
Hubby went to bed long before I did and he's STILL sleeping! I figure I'll let him snooze while he can since he has to leave this afternoon.

Our sons guests were up til the wee hours, so are passed out all over the house.

No excitement here. Quiet evening playing Spinners with friends and eating too much. Home before 11 p.m. so we were all together safe at home at midnight. On out way home, our oldest daughter went by another party for a few minutes and found it very dead so she came on home, too.

Very calm uneventful end for 2006.

Not sure what we will do today. I have lots of straightening up to do to get ready to go back to work tomorrow. Don't think we will cook the "traditional" meal today.

There must be some hangovers out there....not many checking in this morning.

We never have a traditional meal...on New Year's Day and we DIDN'T have our traditional meal of seafood last night.

Since my son had the stomach flu, and even though he was feeling better..we were worried the seafood and/or the butter would make his stomach upset again..so we were planning on having it tonight...well, this morning my husband and I both feel kind of like it may be heading our way....OH NO!!!!

Usually if it's the sniffles or sinus stuff, I can take something ahead of time and kind of "head it off at the pass", do any of you know what we could take to head the stomach flu off? I just haven't eaten....can't come up if there's nothing there!!!

We ended up having 28 people over (20 adults and 8 kids) last night. After eating lots of goodies the guys and gals ended up separated in different rooms. The guys ended up playing Aggravation and Yatzee Turbo (I think that's the right name). The girls ended up visiting and playing Mad Gab. We had a blast!!! Mad Gab is really fun if you've never played it. Our last guests left a little after 2:30 and it was 3:00 before we finally got to bed. No one passed out here, just plain ol' tired!!!!

We don't do any kind of traditional meal at our house. I guess if you might say that our tradition is left-over ham!!!!!! We're pretty partied out and I'm glad that I'm all done with parties at my house. We still have my husband's family's Christmas party on January 20.
