I didn't make a resolution to lose weight, but I did resolve to get healthy. I am a 54 year old and I am diabetic, Have been for 5 years and have been managing very well to keep my sugar in check. I am on meds and don't want to start the needle so it is important for me to stick to this healthy eating thing. I have found my best diet is more of portion control and lots of salads and veggies which I love. I really am not a big meat eater. I keep a stash of candy because I have a tendency to not eat often enough and then suffer from low blood sugar. It is a roller coaster ride much of the time. Smaller portions and just better choices have helped me lose and keep off 35 pounds. I have another 20 to go to be happy with myself. I hope to take it off this year as it gets harder every year.
I love to be outside and active when it is nice, but I seem to just stop in the cold of winter and not do much exercise. So I would love to be a part of this and be accountable, but I guess I will have to buy a scale. I have only weighed in at the doctors because I have to go every 3 months for bloodwork and follow-ups. Count me in and congrats on your loss and determination. Any loss is a victory!! HORRAY FOR YOU!! YOU GO GIRL!!!! RAH RAH RAH!!! |

Sheryl ~ 4LBS is a LOT ... find something that weighs 4lbs, and carry it around with you for a while, you'll see how heavy it gets.
![]() Healthy recipe's hmm... can't really help much there, but i have been thinking of the Kellog's diet for myself. Might try that... i would like to lose a few lbs, but my downfall is my nighcap ![]()
