Spending Spree!!! ?

Saturday we went and bought a new TV since the one we had went to TV heaven... . This one is so nice and quite a bit bigger, maybe just a bit bigger than needed for the room it's in, but I've been planning on changing the family room into a dining room. So if we move it to the living room it will fit in so much better.

Then while we were out shopping, hubby decided he wanted a laptop, (he still had some money left from his dad's inheritance.) So he bought one of those too. He's going to be a real pain in the "you know what" in the next few weeks, so be sure to check the VENT forum often....LOLOLOL!!!! He really isn't very computer literate, but wanting to learn and he's going to be driving me nuts. The good thing is I'll have some leverage for him to get some other things done or he can set up his own computer....ha ha

Awww, Janet. You'll enjoy watching your favorite shows so much more on your new bigger TV, and hubby will be so busy once he catches on to how much fun he can have on the computer!! Enjoy sharing with him.

Cool! I hope you both enjoy your new toys.

I'd like to go on a shopping spree too, but it won't be anytime real soon.
I want new living room furniture SO BADLY. I'd also like a laptop for when I'm sitting in a hotel several nights a week (during training) and have been holding my breath waiting for the day when my 15 yr old refrig takes a dive.

It's really his inheritance, so I haven't said too much. But with this next inheritance from my MIL who just passed, I told him what we needed around here, like new carpet in a couple of rooms or some hardwood flooring. We'll see. He doesn't need to think it's just for him. He needs to share it for what is good for the family, not be selfish about it. Makes me sad to think this is how we can afford something. I'd rather have my in-laws back.

wow!!

that sounds great, i hope you enjoy your new TV. did you get the HD or plasma or any one of the other new fangled types that they have come out with? dont ask me what the difference is between all of those it's been so long since we had a new TV , they have come out with so many different things these days i just cant keep up, as soon as something leaves the store they always have something newer and better coming in the back door. really i am glad you got a new TV and i hope you enjoy it. and you will have to make a deal with rick on the lap top, he has to do 1 thing on his to do list for every lesson you give him. hey if it works for ricky it should work for him as well.
janet did you ever get your new tower you were looking for?

It's a 42" plasma. It's really nice. I'm not sure what you mean my "tower." If I wanted it before....I must not want it now, cause I'm not sure what it is.....LOLOL

BTW, my new pne has started to hum. It has a warranty, so I will probably be sending it back to the manufacturer. Another problem to add to the list.

I ended up taking the widescreen back and got a 19" LG Flatron (but not widescreen). At Best Buys they said it was one of the best. I really like it. Sometimes the print seems smaller and I have to make it bigger but other than that...it's nice.

At least yours is still under warranty. When my items start breaking down, it's usually a month after the warranty expires.....LOL
