Way to go Janet!
It sounds like you're doing a wonderful job!
I'm so glad for you and proud of you. I know it's not easy, but you're on the right track, and that's great!

I'm still stuck at 224 lbs, have been here since the 3rd. Hopefully it will start coming off again...drat...I want this so bad. I still haven't gotten on the treadmill yet. Guess I need to start burning more calories. I just don't like exercisng that well. I'd rather work hard at manual labor than exercise. Guess I'll try to start on the treadmill this weekend after the Indy Winter Classic Dog Show.

Maybe walking all over at the dog show will help push me over this little plateau.

Janet, it doesn't take but 20 - 30 minutes a day or even every other day on the treadmill to start to make a difference. Then you build up and can do more. It may be just what you need to get off you plateau. Those plateaus can be killers on the willpower. Please keep it up. You're on the right track to a healther, longer living you!!!!

We need to figure out a way to attach a laptop to a treadmill!!!!

Janet your doing great!! If I remember correctly you ordered the best life diet book, Oprah Winfreys trainer wrote the book. I have brought it and have started reading it myself it is excellent he gives good advice, if you have it and haven't read it .. do so now. secondly, do not weigh yourself every day , he tells you in the book not to. I weigh myself once a week, and that is too much. The scale fluxuates and you lose water at the start of changing your eating habits. I can't stress enough if you have the book read it, and incorparate excersise into your life. Whether its walking or the threadmill do it for at least three x s a week. That is sufficent, I lost 5 pds. due to my dizziness I had stopped going to the gym, but I will resume on Monday. I cheated these last few days, but so what I will start again, you cant punish yourself if you indulge every so often..

I haven't bought the book yet, just read some on the web site. I will have to go get the book for sure. Thanks.

It's hard for me not to weigh myself everyday. It's such a a habit now. Once I got this heavy, I didn't want to gain anymore, so I would weigh everyday to make sure it didn't happen. It's so funny, that I didn't notice gaining weight. I think that's why I got in the habit of weighing everyday. I'm not letting weight gain go unnoticed again.
