A Study......menstrual cycle

I rec'd this today and thought it was so funny.....I hope you do too!

A study conducted by UCLA's Department of Psychiatry has revealed that the kind of face a woman finds attractive on a man can differ depending on where she is in her menstrual cycle.

For example: If she is ovulating, she is attracted to men with rugged and masculine features.

However, if she is menstruating, or menopausal, she tends to be more attracted to a man with duct tape over his mouth and a spear lodged in his chest while he is on fire.

No further studies are expected.

LOL!! How true is that!! Hubby just asked me this morning if everything was ok...I didn't seem "myself"...I just told him...this is my grumpy week! so in other words BACK OFF! I am going to be 50 in March..My Grandmother (at 49) one day just stopped! Helllloooo! I am going to be 50!! I want to stop!! Although I am peri menopausal (what ever the heck that is!) I have only missed 1 period and I think that was a fluke.. I only missed the month by a week...but,,,,,I did miss the month....I am ready to change....NOW! Sometimes I don't like being a woman...LOL!

Truer word were never spoken. I am in my first year without a period and that part of it, I LOVE! I am 54 and ready to be free of them, but the mood swings, and changes in MY attitude are something else. My hubby actually said that I was "bitter" the other day!I HAVE NEVER HAD A BITTER BONE IN MY BODY! LOL

I admit some of it might be the "hormones" but at 52, and never having really suffered (or made others suffer) from PMS, I seriously think a lot of my bad moods are purely situational.

I'm in a job that stresses me out and makes me downright ornery, yet I go to it 5-6 days a week simply because I feel I must.
I'm supporting 3 adult kids who contribute nothing monetarily, and only what they know they HAVE TO in the way of help around the house. I have little if any privacy or peace when at home, and am forced to share the computer, tv, and one single bathroom in the house with them every day.
I'm married to someone I see only a few hours each week and most of what I hear from him is strongly negative.
I have no intimacy, no one to cuddle with, no one who gives a damn how my day goes.

I think at this age we have PLENTY to truly be pissy about. Hormones or not!
I trust I'm not the only one who's living this way or is tired of it!

Tink, can I ask why you are supporting 3 adult children? If you've posted elsewhere, I don't remember, I'm sorry. Why are they not helping you with money and housework?

I honestly don't think I could handle the pressure. I can get pretty testi now, but if I had to be under that kind of pressure I would explode!! Maybe your husband is negative because he has to come home to 3 adult children....???

I love not having that monthly visitor any more. If I have mood swings, no one is brave enough to tell me....ROFLMA!!!! I honestly don't feel that I do, my Premarin takes care of that I think.

I think most of my moods have to do with me being overweight...but I'm working on it.

But you see Tink, if we have the problems and stress you mention, it is so easy to blame it on hormones and have a "hissie fit" once in a while. I feel for you, my situation is nothing like yours and if it was I think I would go on the rampage quite often. Noone seems to understand that what is going on inside our bodies and brain? Shoot, I don't even understand? LOL
