Oh my! I am so glad he is getting better!
I know how frightening it can be. My daughter had a collasped lung due to pneumonia. It was the scariest things I think I have had to deal with. I am glad you were with him. At least now you know what to do should it ever happen again. Take care HUGS

Have my baby home and he is feeling a lot better, thankyou all for your support it is strange how being in contact with you guys sure helps. Tink thanks for looking that up. It has been a worrying week and I am now spoiling him to bits.
He will have to take it easy for a while and I hope this never ocurs again.

Highlans, I'm so glad he's home and feeling better!
It's so scary when our kids are ill.

Wow! I didn't see this thread because I only recently joined, but the exact same thing happened to my little brother about a month ago. He is sixteen and also very tall and thin. Only the top portion of one of his lungs collapsed, but it still gave us all quite a scare. Luckily, he is doing much better now, though he still has to go get check ups regularly to make sure everything is still alright. They say there is a 25% chance that the same thing could happen to him again and if it does he'll have to have surgery. But luckily, for now everything is good.

I'm glad to hear that your son is doing better as well. Keep us posted.
