Wow that must have been horrifying for you, your husband & son. I'm glad he is ok. Thank you very much for the warning. Cheking all my dry goods before starting dinner.

I wonder if you have to worry if it is in a sealed tight container....any one know?

I try to freeze as much of this type food as possible. It stay's fine in the freezer if sealed properly. We have a FoodSaver vacuum sealer that works great for all kinds of foods. You can keep flour, cornmeal, and mixes for years in the freezer if sealed. Also, you can use them frozen in most recipes and it doesn't make any difference. We have a lot of mold issues in the humid south, not to mention weevles.

BTW, Sheryl, thanks for the warning. I knew mold could make these foods taste bad, but had no idea they could b so hazardous.

ohhh I've been thinking about buying one but was afraid they don't work as well "as seen on TV" or that they would stop working quickly. So you have one & like it?
