wow..you did GREAT. I got married in Nov and had a horrible photographer. I was sooooooooooooo upset. I wish I had done more research but my hubby's aunt was our planner and since we were doing it out of state where she lives and works, i trusted her judgement. The wedding was amazing and she did GREAT but the photographer left a LOT to be desired.

I am so glad they were happy with your work. Wedding photo's would be the most nerve racking pictures to take, cuz it is one day you cannot "do over". Congrats on the success, you have done GREAT!!

Aww, I'm sorry that you had a bad experience with your wedding photographer Toodles. I know it's not the same, but maybe you could have a friend do some 6 month anniversary shots for you. Sometimes an "amateur" can do better than a "professional." Trust me, I know from experience. Then at least you would have some cute together pictures.

Thank you, Larissa! Oh I definitely travel! In January, I even did a wedding up in Knoxville, TN. Actually, that wedding album design is still online if you want to take a look! Here it is: "Austin & Janelle"

First of all, congratulations on being a newlywed!

That REALLY stinks you had a terrible photographer!!! I think too many brides don't do enough research - and photography is the most important wedding vendor to pick (but maybe I'm biased, lol.)

Perhaps I am even more passionate about what I do because I also didn't do my research. My regret in this area is part of what inspired my turn to this career field (and God who really just blessed me with the right opportunity at the right time.)

Anyway, after I'd been married a while and worked at this new studio a few months, the other photographer took me and my husband out to the spot where we got married and we re-took our wedding portraits! They're AMAZING and I did my hair, etc the same way, and of course I wore my dress! To me, those shots ARE my wedding portraits, and it means the world to me to have them. - So in a way, we had a "do-over".

But generally speaking, the once-in-a-lifetime chance is part of the rush of being a wedding photographer to me. I know I have a chance to capture moments and emotions that, once gone, will never happen again. Doing that WELL is such a rush, and it's so rewarding to look back at my work and go...wow...did I really take that picture?
