I've heard from so many people that they have just LOVED having the surgery and that they never regretted it, but I'm still scared to death. lol. I know it's all in my head...I will eventually do it, I'll just have to tell myself over and over that I'll be so much happier when it's all over with.

Angie, maybe you want to go speak to a few different doctors, and find out which one you are most comfortable with

I agree with Mandy Angie. One of the doctors John (my hubby) works with is one of the first who did lasik & one of the best in the state. Try talking to him for one.

It'w one week since the surgery and my vision is much better, but reading is still a little difficult without glasses. I'll call the doctor this week and ask him if it's styill going to improve, or this is it. Last time I had it, it took about 3 or 4 days, but I was much younger.

I hope I don't need glasses, only because it was expensive and I wanted the outcome to be that I don't need reading glasses.

For those of you who are afraid, I certainly don't blame you - it looks terrible, but I wish I could send you an ESP message of how not a big deal it is at all. And
they give you a valium! Medication is a wonderful thing (I'm from the 60's).

Thanks for the encouragement Judy. I will definitely look into it more closely now. I've been putting it off because I'm so terrified. lol. I hope your vision continues to improve and that you won't need glasses for anything!
