I have Internet access here at work, so when it is quiet, I can chat!

I have internet access at work, too, obviously, but we are part of a very large (Fortune 15) company and they monitor our internet usage. So, can't be on much or they will find out about the site and block it all together.
Some of my customers have the same situation and two of the companies I call on actually fired groups of people for being on-line doing personal stuff on company time. One person who was fired was, or so I heard, on a site for only 45 minutes. His company sent out an e-mail warning, and after that, got tough. Big Brother is watching on corporate computer networks these days. I try not to steal time from my company by doing personal stuff during working time, but during lunch, if I'm in the office I figure it's my time. There are plenty of lunches when I have to be entertaining a customer. |

They haven't hired a new clerk so I'm filling in that position...right up front instead of my cozy office. I do try to sneak away from time to time...DAMN! When is she going to start those interviews?????
