Sorry, Janet. I was going to suggest dropping by and visiting your friend but it doesn't sound like she would welcome your visit. It definitely sounds like you have tried to continue your friendship so I would feel that the next move should be on her part.
I have a best friend that I've drifted away from. I ran into her the other day and it was so hard to make conversation with her. Her kids are all grown and she works while I still have one at home, grandchildren, and am a homemaker, so we hardly have anything in common anymore. It's so hard to find a friend that you can spend time with anymore because everyone works. Not that they can't be a friend and work, but it just isn't the same as when they have time to spend with you. I wish that we lived closer I'd invite you and the little ones over for a visit and we could have a birthday party for Reuger!!! He turned two yesterday!!!

Those are all great ideas Marilyn, and I don't want to sound like I'm whining, but everytime I start to do something, I have to stop and check on all the doggies.
I am suppose to go to a Conformation Class tonight (meet Lynne there), but I don't like leaving Gidget and the puppies for too long at a time. I have run to town to the store and that only takes about 45 minutes. If I go tonight, it will be at least 2 hours. I am planning on going, but I will be a nervous wreck wondering if Gidget covered up the puppies. I don't know for sure if I've got anything to worry about or if I'm making excuses. It's so hard to tell right now. I know without a doubt, if I had someone here that knew anything about puppies or Yorkies in general that I would have no problem going tonight. It's just I'll worry what I'll come back to. I know IF I breed again next year, it will thought out more. No two litters so close together, not while the guys are gone and a few other stipulations. It's just hard doing it all by myself. It won't be much longer though, counting today, only 3 /12 more days till the guys come home and the puppy goes to his forever home. But hey, I do have to be grateful....I've been sleeping great! There's always a silver lining.

It sounds rough taking care of all of the puppies, Mandy, Gidget, and the others.
I know what you mean about not wanting to leave them. When I go out during the day, I do not like going out at night because Max is all by himself. You really can't win, can you? You have too many and I don't have enough! It's also not easy getting used to living alone, even for a week. Everyone says that you have a chance to relax, read, etc, and you do, but by the time you even begin to set up your own life, they're back. My daughter used to go to her father's house for the summers for a few years when she was young. By the time I hot used to it, I had about 3 weeks of fun, and then I had to prepare myself for her homecoming again. It's just not easy. My Grandmother used to say "You have to wiggle through each day." I'm sorry about your friend. I'll pray for her. Sounds like she's in a really bad way.

Janet, it sounds like you need to find a different kind of bedding for the puppies and Gidget. Something she can't pull over them or tuck them under so you're not having to worry so much.

Feeling much better!! I did find a solution for Gidget and the puppies. She has her own bed now, so when she's tired of laying with the puppies she can get out and lay on a more cushionie bed. It worked.
Whenever I get to feeling down, I always start thinking of my best friend (I think about her all the time anyway) and then I get even further depressed because we haven't spoken. I miss her and just wish she would get over whatever "nerves" are bothering her. I know it's been quite some time and I should move on, but she was always such a big part of my life and it's hard. I do okay, it was just that this week has been a little stressful.
