Brendon is funny. He has TONS of musical talent; great voice, plays guitar and a bit of piano, even led music at a church as his job for a while, but the poor boy just can't dance! lol

I would buy tons of land, that would triple/quadruple in price if not more, that way I can travel the world and never really work!
![]() I haven't because I don't have the money to buy a ton of land. If I could time travel back 10-20 years, I would totally buy land..lol |

I really have t think about this one Tink because I do have the time now to do whatever I want. I don't have the money, but for me, these are real choices.
I can do whatever I want for the rest of my life. I know I'm going to move to the country. (If I had the money, I'd buy a yacht and go to places like Tahiti, the Galapagos Islands, etc.) I'll have to get back to you on this.

Imagine walking where Darwin did his work? I love him - his theories are exquisite. I just heard he was a serious druggie???? I think I'll Snopes that.
I also want to see whales. I love whales!

I've heard that Darwin was the product of 3 generations of inbreeding and he himself married his first cousin. The family was very wealthy and The men, while mostly physicians and mortgage brokers, were quite feared because they were hugefor the time... well over 6 feet tall and over 300 lbs... and were known to go into fits of rage, suffered from mental illnesses and were known to be abusive toward women and children. He's known to have been a poor student, took thrill in killing birds and other animals just for the fun of it, and yet would pass out at the sight of human blood.
ODD man... It's because he was so odd that I remember these things about him. lol

Oh yeah! He was quite insane. Poor crazy genius. Look at http://www.icr.org/article/112/ if you want to scan it. He was nuts! I still love him. His work was brilliant. (I've managed to adapt his theories to include God so I'm quite comfortable with them. He should have called me. I would have shared this with him and maybe he would have felt better. Oh well.)

I've heard that Darwin converted to Christianity before he died, but I'm not sure how accurate that information is.

He was freaked out over his own observations because it was either Creationism or nothing at that time. Over the years, I also think many people have learned to see God's role in evolution as in everything else.
That's not to say that those who believe exclusively in one or the other are wrong. When I taught high school Biology, I was very careful not to step on my student's toes. I would explain to them them that they had to know about evolution to pass the Regents. They did not have to believe in it. I always told them that it's usually best to believe what your parents taught you. Most of them did believe exclusively in Creationism. I would never explain my personal beliefs to them. I told them it would only confuse them. They were really good about learning about evolution once they realized nobody was forcing them to believe in it. I think that's the problem now - people want everybody to believe what they believe because they feel their own beliefs are right, and, therefore, the only way.

On Darwin: "Inbreeding" among cousins, even first cousins, has been shown not to create monsters through genetics.
If money and time were no object - I would finish my books, have a grand studio with rooms for paint, fabrics, writing, clay, wood... I would travel with my guys. We could also afford to go for the specialized medical treatment that would make our lives so much easier. |
