I know what you mean, Janet. He still is driving me crazy but I think that this is the last week. I sure hope so! He's still in and out, in and out. And if he sees her from the window it's even worse. He literally bounces in front of you to make sure that you know for certain that he wants out!! If I didn't have to put up with it for several weeks it would be really funny!

Lol

Sorry for posting on an old topic but it's fun LOL. It would be smart to get your boy fixed, not only will it stop the marking (hopefully!) but he won't be able to get certain reproductive cancers. I learned the hard way with spaying. I have an Irish setter called Maggie. Well, I wanted to breed her (I knew nothing then) She ended up getting a tumor in her right ovary and we never did end up breeding her. We bred my lovesick yellow Lab once and now she is spayed. So's Maggie at age nine. Maggie had to go thru major surgery and wasn't herself for months. I should have just gotten her spayed at nine months or so to save all the trouble and money spent. Clyde the rottweiler is also neutered. You can't breed a male once, they say. And it's true!

No, Reuger's not neutered.........yet! I don't think that I want to breed but I'm not sure. Some of the ladies have said that even if I have him neutered he might still mark so I'm not getting him fixed anytime soon.

It took me several months to retrain Max not to mark after he was neutered, but it worked. He does try to mount Gracie Leigh, but he's not horny like Reuger is. He has no hormones to be horny with.

How old is the little horn dog Diana? It might pay to neuter him if you don't want to breed him.

Reuger has been back to his old self. My daughter's dog was in heat this fall and we thought that she was pregnant. It must have been a false pregnancy and she must have given off a scent for a few days that drove Reuger crazy. Anyway no marking in the house until she goes into heat again. I really should get her fixed because that's what would take care of the problem.

That's great news! Give them all a treat and forget about it until next time!
