Forgotten
Moved 4 years ago and never hear from my past coworkers. They stood up with me when I got married. Sure they show up for funerals and then some don't even do that. It's really dissappointing to me. I try and keep in touch with them but it's a 2 way street. I miss home. Don't get me wrong I have made friends here but after 40 years from there i would have thought some of them would have remained in touch. Thanks for listening.

Many times we get so busy with our every day life that we forget to stay friends to those that were once dear. I know I've been guilty of that.

I agree with Kimberly. As we grow older, move away from family and dear friends, we lose touch. Life has a way of interferring. I am so guilty of that! My absolute best friend in the whole, wide world has not called me or written me in 2 years - but as you said, it works 2 ways and I've not called her. She lives outside Pensacola where I grew up - I go back to visit my family there but never think to call her until I'm half-way back home! I just get caught up with my sister and her family that I just simply forget or tell myself I'll call tomorrow. If you have their addresses or a way to get it, make the first step - send a card to let them know you're thinking of them - they may be sitting there thinking the same thing as you so break the ice first. Good luck!

It's sad that it happens, but it does. People are so busy it seems and when they have a moment, they use it to relax or reflect or just chill. I know I'm guilty of that a lot. We had some older neighbors that lived just down the road. I adored the woman. She had so many wonderfu stories. My son even called them grandpa and grandma. They moved to town about 6 or 7 years ago and we call each other now and again, but just not often. I miss her. I have tried calling, but if she is not home, I just get busy doing something else and don't get back to trying to call again for a couple months. Don't take it personal, it's just the way life is, what a shame.
