Everyone's positives are so nice!

Mine is that my daughter has been calling, my granddaughter, Mackenzie, called me twice. The baby, Kassidy, keeps getting on the phone with her little 5 year old voice saying "I love you Grandma Judy." It just is so good. Brandon, who is 6, and all boy, can't be bothered, but keeps yelling "I love you," so I can hear him.

I ordered 3 platters of side dishes to be delivered on Tuesday. I have to go to Toys R Us for their presents as soon as I find out what Brandon wants. What a waste of money! They have more toys than they'll ever need. But, that's for another thread.

I'm going up on Wednesday and leaving on Friday. Short and sweet.

I'm going to give my daughter a check for a house warming gift.

I still can't believe it!

Her husband got on the phone for a minute to talk to her. I said Hi to him. His response was less than warm, but I have to expect that and not react.

I'm really praying that it goes smoothly.

I'm so excited for you Judy! I'm sorry he wasn't very warm to you, but at least you get to hear those sweet little grandbabies tell you how much they love you and you get to have a relationship with your daughter. I'd say it's worth it to just bite your tongue and ignore him...He's the one missing out by being mean to you!

I'm very excited for you Judy, remember, it's NOT about him, it's about your own babies, he is just "the spare wheel" and it's not your duty to go out of your way for him, he is way younger, and needs to bring up respect for you.

Greg and I have made reservations to go to his company Christmas party for the first time in many years. They're having a banquet, driver awards, a dance, and we're all staying in the hotel at a casino. Having never been in a casino before, we're rather looking forward to it.
We never go anywhere... have never taken a vacation... so for us this is quite an event! LOL

I will do my best to just smile and pay him no mind! I got what I wanted. I am nervous though because if he gets mad enough and tell her to make me leave, I don't know how strong she is.

I don't care what he says, I just hope and pray that she doesn't. I don't think she'll do that to the children though. It seems to be very important to her that they have me in their lives.

Anyway, thanks for the advice - it's very true!
