Haiku Pet Challenge
Here's a haiku I wrote:
Walk with me at dusk The smells of evening beckon Poetry of dogs Either write your own poem - any style is fine - about one or more of your animal buddies or go find one you like to share with us. Remember to credit the author if you use someone else's work. Here's one about Bowser: Black and white attack Welcomes me into my home Boston terrier |

Momo the Jazz Cat
Here's one about a cat that my friend adopted. He's an orange tabby cat. She told me about him and this is the true story of Momo. Clifton is the local jazz man in Momo's town.
Momo the Jazz Cat Razz-a-ma-tazz! Clifton's playing some jazz! Momo the Jazz Cat goes razz-meow-razz! He sways in one spot 'cause the music is hot Momo's hair curls like a viol round his ears; he chases the dogs showing he has no fears. Momo sleeps on my roof where the chimney is hot; in the morning I hear him pitty-pat from that spot. He leaps off the shingles, lands on the porch floor; if his food isn't ready he yowls at my door. Momo streaks down the road, tail swishing with pride to find Clifton the Jazz Man - Momo sits by his side and sways in one spot if the music is hot. Razz-a-ma-tazz! Clifton's playing some jazz! Momo the Jazz Cat goes razz-meow-razz! Katherine A Minden copyright 2006 Last edited by katepoet; 11-14-2007 at 09:11 PM. |
