It was a very sweet story because he's a TV celebrity and told it so simply and sincerely.
I would love to be able to read it through in one year. I have started many times, but have yet to make it through the whole Bible.

I don't usually do new years' resolutions.....and this year I didn't specifically have any "official new years resolutions" BUT I have made it a point to myself to make goals for myself all the time, not just on new years. If I feel that I need to make a change in my life, or would like to set a goal, I try to go for it no matter what time of year it is.

So, in a way, this year, I have "resolved" to make "resolutions" all year round....to set goals and constantly work towards them.

Just to name some of my goals I'm working on right now:

1. I am trying to eat healthier. One of my best friends is doing the South Beach thing, and doesn't know how to cook (like, at all) so I've been trying to help cook...which means I'm 'sortof' doing the South Beach thing too (haha!)

2. In the next couple of months, I will join a gym (when I get a new roommate and can afford it)....so I can tone up and get those endorphins (sp?) going! Working out is not just good for the health of your physical appearance - it also makes you happier and puts you in a good mood!

3. I am trying to keep my house clean more consistently. I am tired of getting it really clean and then next time I turn around it's really messy and then it takes hours to get back to really clean again. Too much of a roller coaster!

4. I'm thinking about getting a new car this year. Not new-new, but something really cool and new-to-me. So, I'm starting to look. I know that's not a "resolution" of sorts, but it's a goal to me, so I included it here.

5. This year, I will spend more time on "me". I will stand up for myself and not let myself get pushed around by friends (even with the best of intentions)....to stay out too late, drink too much, or become so social I never have any down-time. (I am very guilty of this so I'm trying to plan more time to relax and "recharge my batteries" so to speak.)

6. I have trichotillomania and I'm so annoyed! I am trying to be more mindful of this and find a way to "cure" myself. LOL. I know if you've never heard of this you're probably way confused but trust me, it's more common than you think. My friend Heidi has it bad too and actually, so does my dad! I'm making it a goal to try to figure out how to overcome this ridiculousness.

Ok...there are more but that's the main ones for now! Thanks for "listening".
