The best part of getting older is...

I thought this was pretty funny. That'll definitely be my hubby in a few years. LOL

That's cute! So does Brendon have a music teacher that he wants to bug? The music teacher that I had in high school came to our Christmas play dress rehearsal. Talk about being nervous!!! But it made me feel good to have her stamp of approval. She told me that I still have a beautiful voice!

How funny! You do have to be careful when you're a teacher. If you use "old school" slang, it's no good and if you use their slang too much it's not good either.
You would think it's not important, but if they don't respect you, they will not listen to you, and then they don't learn anything.

I love kids though.

I think it's all in how you do it. If you use "new slang" in a semi-joking way they'd probably think it's really funny. My 11th grade history teacher was like that. He was the most awesome teacher EVER and smarter than an encyclopedia. LOL

You're right. Kids appreciate a teacher with a sense of humor, and more "real" you are with them, the more they respect you. (Like anyone else...)

I had such a good time with them. I don't miss working, but I am so grateful that I was blessed to have been able to be a teacher and spend time with so many young people.
