Glad that you're back, Judy! It sounds like your time with your grandchildren just gets more interesting each time you go and see them.........smelling armpits? Funny thing is that I can see my grandson doing the same thing when he gets older!!!
I'm not sure how big malamute puppies are but I know that labradors can be separated from their mothers by about 7-8 weeks old. In fact one of my husband's training books for labs recommended 7 weeks and that was when we got Shada. Yorkies have to wait until they're bigger mostly because of blood sugar problems, I think. Anyway, what I'm trying to say is that 7 weeks might not be too early for malamutes.
