yep, they say they gas will be $4 by summer. WHEW!
We just sold our diesel pickup (thankfully). Diesel is $3.79-$3.99 here in central Texas. Unbelievable! That means it could be close to $5 a gallon by summer!!! ![]() |

Gas prices here are pretty crazy too. They're pretty steady right now at about $1.20/L. I just did a little conversion and there are 3.79L in 1 US Gallon... so about $4.55/Gallon. It used to cost me about $30 to fill up my car when I first got it about 5 years ago. It now takes over $50

I heard on the radio the other day that they are saying there really is no legitimate reason for the prices to be going up, and that the oil companies actually made literally billions in profits last quarter!
![]() I boycott Exxon/Mobil and Conoco because they are two of the companies that have had the highest increase in profits. I think they're all just getting greedy... |

Yeah, it's at the point where we try to cut back our driving when possible. DH's truck only gets 13 MPG, and my Envoy isn't much better at 18 MPG. Mine costs over $50 to fill up (and I fill up every week!) DH's truck takes well over $80. Fortunately, he doesn't have as far to drive to work, but it still adds up.
Maggie says, that is money that would MUCH better be spent on bully sticks, lol! |

its to the point where we plan every outing. if there is something I can do in that area, but maybe its an hour later? I park and wait. Like if I'm at the office for a meeting and its like 1:00 when I get done, I will stay until 3:30 to pick STW up instead of coming home like I would normally. I m trying to cut out ALL unnecesary trips.

Its times like these that make me miss my job at the insurance company...I had a company car and ALL of my gas and maintenance was paid for!
I heard that gas is going up because the oil companies are no longer getting the tax breaks they once did, so they are passing their new taxes on to us. Good ole Bush, at it again. Hey, there's a recession, so lets do something that will make the average American even worse off! And to think, people wanted to impeach Clinton because he got around. At least he wasn't stupid as s***. Anyway, I have been taking the bus once again. On top of the gas price hikes, the wonderful City of Seattle has stripped downtown of ALL free parking. $12 a day to park to go to work? That's insane! |

We are about $3.15 a gallon here, give or a take a few cents. It's horribly expensive anymore, and I drive a small car. Usually the bf takes the bus to work and I'll just pick him up at the bus station. Any little bit helps. I'm dreading the 45 minute drive to school this summer. I'll be putting a serious dent in my budget.
