I'm sorry I haven't been on the board recently-
I'm involved in several community service projects and now my guineas should be laying soon so must keep an eye on them!! My little Yorkies are doing fine and will someday be potty trained! They're 20 months old and I think Lucy probably is but Monkey is another story. He's up to about 3 lbs now and I have caught him several times doing the wrong thing but he's a stubborn little guy but very cute!!
I've been buying more seeds (flower and veg.) then I could ever use in my lifetime! Just ordered some butterfly bushes for my future (I hope) butterfly and hummingbird garden. I plan to use mostly seeds in it to keep the cost down. Sure would love to have a greenhouse. Do any of you have one? We finally sold our motorhome. It's only been for sale for 3 years. Thank god it's gone! No more payments. I got tired of traveling and like being in one place most of the time. Fortunately, my husband is nice and agreed. Well, we have Bingo tonight (I baked an apple cake) and dinner after church tomorrow (crockpot baked ziti) and I think I need a nap. I'll try to catch up with ya'll in the next day or so and read what's been happening to you too. |

I'm so glad you were able to check in...it has been awhile hasn't it? Sounds like you've been busy and with some worthwhile projects.
I don't remember you raising guineas. I only know what they are because a friend of mine has a few of them. Me...I'm afraid of all birds..big and small..lol. I'm wanting to plant some seeds this year too. We use to get our plants from my in-laws greenhouse, but they've passed away and now it's up to us. We just can't afford them...so we'll see if we can get some seeds put out. I would love to have a small greenhouse and just may one of these days. Hope you can come back and visit with us....I'll be looking for ya!!

Actually, planting seeds is lots less expensive. You just have to have the patience to wait till they come up. My problem is I can't recognize a seed from a weed!! I've learned to wait till they bloom before pulling!!

JanC, it's good to hear from you!! I forgot that you live on a farm with all of the animals and gardening and stuff! We have a neighbor that has guineas too. It sounds like you've been very busy with all of your activities and with gardening coming up you're going to be busy for awhile longer. The crockpot baked ziti sounds interesting. You're going to have to post a recipe! I would love to have a greenhouse but I don't know where I'd put it. Anyway like Janet said, drop in once in a while to keep in touch! Have fun at bingo!!

If everyone loves it tomorrow, I'll post the recipe. Sometimes, my cooking is not so good.
