Spoke to my computer guy. The diagnosis is the motherboard - cost: $275.00 He tried to talk them into doing it for nothing, since they sold him the adpter for me - no way they said. He says it's worth it considering a new one would cost me between $600-700.
Kind of sucks, but I can't get too upset over it. I think my lamp shorting out actually caused the damage. (I didn't tell him that). So - 240 +275 $515.00 What is there to say?
