I love the saying "...and the truth shall set you free." Sometimes it's a painful truth that you just don't want to see about yourself, or somebody else. Even then though, I think it's best to face the truth and take it from there.

The truth doesn't always hurt, because some things I know that I need to change. It's when the truth hits you from out of the blue and I wasn't aware of it, that's when it hurts.

I said some things a while back that I shouldn't have said and I got called on it later. I was really upset with myself over it but I did need to stop saying what I was saying. The truth hurt but I have changed.

I don't think telling the truth has to be brutal as long as you present it right.
