I guess the only good thing about having a tree fall in your yard is if you have a fireplace or woodstove. Hope you can use it somehow. Your poor dog...I bet it did scare him...poor things. Glad he's alright too.

Turns out that the winds were 70 miles an hour here. That's pretty high winds. I think I'm going to have to leave this house for a few hours. My husband and our friend are in the crawl space under the house trying to shore up this saggy house. It is not a nice job and the walls creak and pop and I am thinking of all the horrifying things that could be going on. The Yorkies bedroom door wouldn't close yesterday and still doesn't today. I worry about the windows breaking. We replaced everyone ourselves 2 years ago when we moved here and I don't want to spend money on them and I definitely don't want to put them back in if they break. My husband is 66 and his friend is 68 and just had bypass surgery about 5 months ago. It's not a fun job! I hope they finish by Fri.
