Women Vs Men Food Shopping
Food Shopping By Women
1. Park the car 2. Get a cart 3. Fill the cart with useful things in a record time. 4. Put the shopping in a rational way (All the fridge stuff together, groceries in a separate bag, etc) 5. Pay 6. Go back home. 7. Empty the bags, put all groceries in the appropriate cabinets, refrigerator compartments, etc., and tidy everything up. “Food Shopping By Men”1. Park the car 2. Get into the store. 3. Get out of the store and pick a cart. 4. Get into the store. 5. Stroll through all the corridors of the store. 6. Stop by the magazines and browse the last “Sport Illustrated” 7. Buy a pair of socks, 2 frozen pizzas, a case of beer, Sausages, pistachios and a comic (Optional: Foldable, swimming pool in winter, Two helmets for the kids in case they are going to use the bicycles, Fertilizer (also in winter), some tools that he might use some day) 8. Don’t worry about milk, bread, eggs and other ’superfluous’ items. 9. Put the socks in the bag with the frozen items. 10. Find the slowest line and pay. 11. Go back home. 12. Leave the bags on the table. 13. Put the beers in the fridge. 14. Sit on the couch and read the comic until the beers are cold.

LOL, that's why we do our shopping together.

My husband is very effecient at shopping but he picks out all the things that HE wants! He buys pop.....for himself, sugar-free cookies........for himself, peanuts.......for himself, salad fixins......for himself, etc. You get the idea? He's diabetic and has to watch his diet so he only gets what HE needs or wants!! Gotta' love him though!!!

My first ex did the shopping. His goal was to stock up all of the cabinets, the fridge and freezer for the duration (of ?). He would put everything away and stand back to admire the fact that we had provisions.
My second ex learned to shop with me after he had a heart attack. I figured he needed to understand what he could and couldn't eat hands-on. He was good, but then he would get to the cat food aisle. He would stand there and stare at all the cans, choosing each one with great care. I never could figure out what zone he went into at that point and would just walk away, pretending I didn't know him. I'd grab him on the way to the check-out. He was good at carrying my packages though. I really enjoy supermarket shopping. It's so calming for some strange reason. Hey - I never claimed to be "sane."

My hubby has been trained! He used to be terrible, but he's done all of our shopping since I became disabled. He will occassionally fall back into his bad habits but I have to say most of the time, he gets it right!

we are ...well let's say on a very tight budget. My hubby comes from a family who wasn't. He likes name brands and I look for the best value, but other than that he does great shopping.
