Well yes, some commercials are disgusting, we get to see a lot of them, theres this one thats supose to advertise cheese, but theres a naked woman laying between the cheese? Go figure! Ok... theres none of those parts showing, but what does a naked body have to do with cheese? It baffles my brain!

So is this a common thing now? I usually go to bed very early...but since school has been out, it's been at least midnight before I go to bed...I just don't have the TV on.

And people wonder why the Middle Eastern muslims think we westerners are so horrible. I in no way condone what Reverend Wright said, NO WAY, however, I think this is what he was eluding to when he said we deserved 911 and that our country is going to hell. Our western culture has gotten sooo bad. We are condoning things that are in no way consistent with our JudeoChristian values.

I am not a big TV person myself so I haven't seen that commercial. I agree with Judy I am no prude either but things on TV are getting out of hand. Unfortunaletly we live in a different society today. I miss the yesteryear...

Donna, do you think the "toys" commercials were on cable? They were into nude news, sex talk programs, etc for a while. I don't see much of those anymore. I think people lost interest. except for the "toys" I guess). But, cable can be controlled with a V chip so the kids can't see it.

The ED ads aren't offensive because the most they show is a couple showing affection, and most young children don't know what ED is. Also, ED is pretty boring! They did take one off that was a little too much.

When I taught Health, a lot of my high school boys found women's' menstrual products ads offensive. Also - too much information.

....I don't watch TV, because of the commercials. And don't get me started on all of those disgusting junk emails I get that are absolutely pornographic. There is something wrong with a world where you can not control what comes into your home. Well, you can, I guess....it's called the "off" button.

The sex toys were on the Oxygen or WE channel, can't remember.
Yes, we get way too much personal information about private things.
I worry about my granddaughter, she has always had a TV in her room and it stays on all night. She is 14, my sons daughter living with a single Mom and we are not close so I don't know if she has a parental control on it.
I am sick of getting stuff in my email also. Turn TV off and hit delete.
