Speaking of wedding photography, my cousin brought her son's wedding album to a family party on Sunday. It was the most beautiful thing I've ever seen. It looked like a regular hard cover book. The book jacket had their picture, their names and wedding date. then the whole book just looked like a really good coffee table book.. with some full page, some collage pictures in it. Mine is the big old fashioned white thing...I was amazed by this because it is something you would keep out for people to look at. Have you ever seen one like that?

That's what I'm designing right now Teri! I did one for my last bride too and she just LOVED it and keeps telling everyone how great it is. I'm currently working on two mother's books (20 pages each), one for the groom's mother and one for the bride's. The wedding was gorgeous!

Thanks Teri, but I didn't shoot a wedding today. I misunderstood and I'll actually be shooting NEXT Saturday assuming I don't have to work at the lab. Brendon met my new boss today and really liked him. He's hiring Brendon to design him a new website since his old one is terribly out-dated. He told Brendon today that he wants to train me to become a "world class photographer" -- And that's coming from a Vietnam photojournalist. Pretty crazy how all this happened so quickly.

The one downside is that he wants to convert me to Nikon and I'm a fan of Canon. lol! I'm buying my new camera and giving Mom my old one towards the end of August so he doesn't have much time to convince me...

I'm really enjoying designing the albums so far. It's a lot of fun to be able to work from home.

Angie, this sounds like such a wonderful opportunity!!! You could have two careers!! If you can pull that off, you will be super woman!!

By the way, I've alway liked Canon, had an AE1 until it was stolen. I'm thinking of buying a Nikon D40 though. I hear it's a great camera for a novice.

Wishing you the BEST!!!!

Sorry that I'm so long in posting on this. I think that it's great that you're getting a new job......especially in an area that you really love! It will be exciting to learn from an experienced photographer too. I know that you're pictures from Chicago and the ones on your website are really, really good!!! Good luck!!!!!
