That sounds like something I would do. When Traci was a baby I saw a mouse in our apartment. I ran and took her out of the crib where she was sleeping and stood on the bed with her (screaming because I had woken her up) while my ex killed the mouse.

Twice now my cat has woken me up by playing with a mouse in my bed!!!
First time it ran over my back with cat chasing after it! Second time I felt cat pouncing on bed, knew immediately what was happening and got out of bed quick!! Now I put poison in garage. Haven't had a mouse in house since. Yes I know that is dangerous with my cats, as in if a mouse ate the poison, then came in and cat got it and ate it.. (yes they do the deplorable deed even with food out all the time! They love a mouse treat.. yuck) but I hate mice in the house. Gotta love country living. |

We use to get mice all the time out here in the country. Now...the first of every month (when it starts getting cold) we put D-con all around under the house. We haven't had any for quite a while.

There is an extremely good mouse poison called "Boot Hill". We get it from our local co-op but I'm sure if you have a good farm store nearby they will probably have it too. It's much better than D-Con. It comes in little small packets in a bucket with a lid for storage. I just dump a packet behind a cabinet in the garage to keep the mice out of there. They only have to eat one small pellet.
