Happy Veterans Day

Lord, we come before You on this day of remembrance of our veterans. We lift up the men and women who are working today for our freedoms and we ask that you surround them with the protection of your angels. Lord, we ask that You be with the families that are at home waiting for their loved ones to join them again. And we ask that You be with the families that have lost loved ones. Lord, we ask that You wrap Your arms around them and give them Your comfort and peace.

Lord, we thank You for the men and women who have fought through the years for our freedoms and we ask that we not take those freedoms for granted. And I lift up the men who have fought and came home with memories that can't be shared or talked about. Lord, please give them Your peace.

Lord, I thank You for this great nation that You've given us. Help this nation to look to You for guidance in the days that are ahead. Help us, Lord, to draw close to You and to listen for Your voice. Thank you so much for hearing our prayer. In Your precious name. Amen.
