Here it is Monday morning, 4 more days till Christmas can you believe it? Do you all have your shopping done? I do, I think, but I'm going to town this morning to do my normal banking, but also to check out the Dollar Stores and Wal Mart for some stocking stuffers.

It's only 1 degree here so brrrrr. I heard on the news this morning and I know it can change, but we are suppose to get more ice on Tuesday night. That is the night we go to my Mom's. Please don't pray that we won't get it...LOLOL..I don't want to go. I can see my Mom and older brother any time. I don't care to see the other one or his family. So, I'm hoping it gets slick enough that we have to stay home. Besides....Rick has to work the next day and Mom doesn't like opening presents till way late. Lord knows we do it her way or no way. If the ice doesn't come, I'm thinking of being sick. She stays with us Christmas eve so I don't see the point going in.

Good Morning, too. Karen and I went to San Antonio and Austin this past weekend to finish Christmas shopping and see the lights on the Riverwalk in SA and at Zilker Park in Austin. We had a wonderful weekend and I'm almost through with my shopping. Just have to get some stocking stuffers for Karen since she was with me all weekend. We bought a bookcase for her apartment while we were there and stayed up past midnight assembling it and rearranging her bedroom. I'll post some pics of the Christmas lights as soon as possible.

I didn't get my Christmas cards out this year. The last few weeks just slipped by too fast. I think I'll start in January getting them together for next year. I usually send out about 130, lots of folks will not be receiving our card this year. I tried to do them last night when we got home, but only had about 60 so decided to not do them. I feel so bad, so any of you who usually get a card, please know that the most sincere good wishes for the Holiday Season are wished for you. May you have a Very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!!!!

Good morning! I am all shopped out and got everything wrapped yesterday! I have a big pile of presents in my room to take home for Christmas... hopefully I can also fit my suitcase in my car!
Last night I finally got my car plugged in for the first time. I haven't had too much trouble starting it in this deep-freeze we've had for the past week, but it's not good for the car! So last night I plugged it in and this morning I went outside to let it warm up before going to work, and it wouldn't start!!!!!! I tried and tried and tried and the battery was wearing down so I ended up having to get my grandma to give me a ride to work this morning. It's -34 C (-29.2 F) which really isn't TOO cold (to our standards lol) so I don't understand why it's not working.
And along with the cold weather comes other problems.... Last week we had a water main break at our house, and at work. At home we were out of water for a day, and at work they fixed it by the afternoon. Then it broke again at work and we had no water all of Friday. I came in this morning, and there's still no water! I guess they fixed it over the weekend and it broke again. So with no running water and no car, I'm trying not to drink anything today because there's no way I can go anywhere to pee! lol

I still have gifts to buy and I think that I'm going to run to a nearby town tomorrow and get it all finished up. Today I have Karlie and I just want to enjoy being with her so I'm going to clean today. I don't have ANY presents wrapped but that's something that the girls can help me do. I also have cooking and getting groceries before Christmas. I probably won't be on much because of the time crunch.

Morning!. Luckily I got all my shopping done a few weeks ago. I caught a nasty flu tues. night & was out of commision wed. thurs. & friday. I worked wed. & thurs. if you can call it that & had a scheduled day off friday to rest. I didn't eat anything but soup from wed. until sat. We got a ton of ice here friday morning. We lost power for a bit friday morning, but it thankfully came back on rather quickly. A lot of our town was without it all day on friday until early sat. morning. We were without power most of sunday. It would come on for an hour here & there so no pipes freezing or anything. There are some people in fort wayne that have been without power since friday. I couldn't even imagine in this cold. It was 1 degree this morning with a -19 wind chill. Which is very cold for us. I finally felt better last night & finished up wrapping my presents. Now i'm just counting the hours until I get to give them. I love giving presents. I'm on vacation christmas eve through the first so you probably won't hear much from me. I hope you all have a wonderful holiday.

Got my shopping done, except Mike, got everything wrapped over the weekend, got my christmas cards out, got Micah his Christmas pictures taken, took him to the mall last friday, he hated Santa, so that was fun trying to get him to take a damn picture with him, oh boy !!!! Then he had to ride the train a couple of times but that was cute he had a really good time... so sad all the stores at the mall going out of business, KB Toys is closing the first of the year, Disney store closed and i'm sure there will be lots more the first of the year, so sad...

I'm all finished shopping. I have one more huge millenium falcon (????) to wrap for Brandon, my 7 year old gs, and 2 more gifts to deliver besides my family's.

I have to go hide the wrapped gifts for the kids in my car because Jessie is coming over with the girls this afternoon. They haven't seen my house all finished yet.

I better hurry!
