Family get together was on Friday, so got to see the grandkids open some gifts..

Hi to Mandee and Emmsmom!

Both exes were good in the gift department, especially ex2. He loved buying me presents, especially beautiful jewelry. He also got my taste better than I did! I still have some very lovely stuff; the rest I sold. It is now about 15 years since he and I went bankrupt, and my credit rating is excellent now!

You asked Janet.. so here goes.

Christmas Eve my sister called me around 5:30 to rudely ask me where I was, and why wasn't I over at her place yet, as she was having dinner at 6:00.
I was totally taken by surprise as this was the first I had heard of her dinner. Turns out she had decided that morning to make dinner, had her 12 year old grandson call my mom to tell her that she wanted mom amd I over for dinner at 6:00. Mom assumed they called me, she didn't want to go because of the way my sister has been treating her. So here I am, hadn't even showered yet, no presents wrapped, as I already had plans on going to moms Christmas day, so had plenty of time yet to wrap presents. I was just planning on spending a quiet evening home. I told her no way could I make it by 6:00, don't hold dinner for me, that I would be there asap. Quick shower and lousy wrapping and I was there by 7:00. Actually turned out to be a good evening. I had called mom after my sister called me, and she did go also. My sister, two of her kids, and 2 of her grandchildren were there, her drugged up boyfriend showed up later.
But all in all, had a good time.. another surprise there, as my sister and I have not been getting along well lately. But I love spending time with my great nephews. They are two bright lights in my life. Very close with them. 3 years and 12 years old. They are more like my grandchildren than nephews.

Then Christmas day, went to moms for dinner. Just me, mom, and my other sister.
Had steaks which I cooked.. but they turned out horrible!!

Oh well... rest of the dinner was good, and of course I enjoyed spending time with mom.
